Invertebrate Zoologist

by trade,

Polychaetologist

by choice.

  • Technical Skills

Throughout my career as a marine biologist, I’ve developed a deep toolbox of technical skills. From bioinformatics to animal fixation I have experience and know how to contribute at multiple stages of research projects.

  • Polychaetes

Alitta succinea, a common rag worm found in Galveston, Texas is one of the hidden wonders of our coastline! For my doctoral studies, I’ve worked to describe their population dynamics, reproductive strategy, and functional morphology.

  • Outreach

I enjoy participating in a variety of outreach programs and am always eager to share my science stories! My favorite outreach program I’ve participated in is a pen pal program called Letters to a Pre-Scientist.

And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time
