Travel
Like many of us, some of my fondest childhood memories were spent along side my Grandparents. Specifically on my mothers side, they instilled in me a world view and a passion for traveling. Because of this, I grew up knowing there was more to life than just what I could see right in front of me. I cherish the times we would sit together looking at photo books of vacations, curios from land afar, and their many passport stamps. To this day, I still cannot pass up a globe without spinning it and seeing where our pretend next destination would be. I am not blind to the privilege and fortune I have in being able to see the world. My aim is not to simply travel, but to learn along the way, gaining insight and empathy from the land, people, and culture.
